Ship Architecture

Each year, thousands of ships from different corners of the world flow through the Port of Vancouver. The variety and contrast of these massive vehicles is fascinating, from weathered cargo ships hauling thousands of tonnes of goods, to sparkling cruise liners carrying excited passengers north to Alaska and south to California – all which pass underneath the historic Lions Gate Bridge.

Rui Nunes is a Vancouver-based architect and photographer who has captured these man made landscapes with some truly stunning photography. Off Shore is his ongoing catalog which captures the sheer scale and impact of these ships from a new perspective.
